LOCATION: Argentina: The city of Buenos Aires, and Villa La Angostura, Province of Neuquen, at the foothills of the magnificent Andes Mountain Range.

Included in price: Rabbi Arthur Segal's spiritual leadership, Two of Rabbi Arthur's books:"The Handbook of Jewish Spiritual Renewal: A Path of Transformation for the Modern Jew" and "A Spiritual and Ethical Compendium to the Torah and Talmud". Domestic round trip air fare Buenos Aires to Bariloche. Two meals a day (breakfast and either lunch or dinner). Lodging in 4 star accommodations. Ground transportation to all group activities. The trip will consist of four distinct areas of activities:

1. Workshops, talks and practices with Rabbi Arthur
2. Activities related to local culture, nature and social responsibility.
3. Jewish culture in Argentina: visits with local Jewish leaders, rabbis and personalities
4. Tours, shopping and entertainment

Activities related our activities during the tour:


During our stay in exciting and sophisticated Buenos Aires:

We will visit with Jewish institutions and their leaders. We will enjoy local cuisine, including authentic Gaucho Asados, (BBQ), desserts, wines, music, arts and crafts. Tango was born and lives in Buenos Aires, so we will participate in two sessions of Tango nights. We will visit the bohemian neighborhoods of La Boca and San Telmo. We will visit two important museums. We will tour historic Jewish “Once” neighborhood (called the Buenos Aires Lower East Side) and other shopping districts of the city. We will enjoy in three organized city tours and visit the most important and exciting neighborhoods of the city: Palermo, Recoleta, Puerto Madero, and more. Depending on availability we will go a to soccer match at the stadium.

To learn more about the social conditions for large segments of the population, we will visit a shanty town and meet with local housing leaders. We will have an audience with one of the member Justices of the Argentina Supreme Court of Justice.

We will visit with the leaders of the Madres of Plaza de Mayo and hear about their story, their struggles and the fate that befell many young Jewish activities during the dictatorship period.

We will also visit a neighborhood medical clinics and psychotherapy treatment centers. We will also have many visits to restaurants, shopping districts and specialized retails shops.

During our stay in magnificent and beautiful Villa La Angostura, Province of Neuquen, the Patagonia: We will visit the world famous skiing town of Bariloche and the slopes of Cerro Bayo. We will hike through some of the ecological wonders of the Patagonias and Andes Mountains. We will sail the Nahuel Huapi lake. We will visit some of the quaint villages of the region, and enjoy a special Gaucho asado of the unique Patagonian Lamb.
